Working Group 5 Applications showcase

Will evaluate real examples of existing networks and technology for Environmental Information Networking (EIN) and related purposes to develop “quick win” scenarios as proof of concepts. This aims to identify applications that can be leveraged to connect on-going efforts in various countries such that commitments are made for the sharing of data, content and standards.

As part of this effort, existing and emerging technologies and networks (technical and human) will be identified such that these can be showcased during the Summit’s sessions and Exhibition. This Working Group will work in an integrated manner with the other Working Groups.

The primary initial themes to be addressed by this Working Group include the following::

  • Identification of existing and emerging EIN related technologies
  • Leveraging and promoting existing, good example networks
  • Identifying and developing quick win scenarios for EIN
  • Identifying and building collaborative partnerships between existing networks
  • Gaining commitments for the sharing of data, content and standards
