The Wonderbag heat-retention cooker is one of South Africa’s first programmatic (PoA) CDM projects being registered by the UNFCCC.

A simple solution that focuses on developing countries & communities with high poverty, a shortage of fuel resources, high incidence of health problems associated with air pollution, and injuries from fuel/wood fires.

150,000 Wonderbags are in South African homes already - saving 50,000 carbon tonnes this year. We’re on a mission to save 8 million tonnes over the next 5 years in South Africa alone, making cooking cleaner, safer and more affordable.

Wonderbag is poised for expansion into Africa and the UK in 2012 and potentially other continents.
